My DJaying career launched in 2007 when I created "Soirée Avenue Montaigne", a networking evening for young socialites. The weekly night took place for 3 years at different venues including Amika, Maya, Mahiki, Cuckoo Club, Bungalow 8, China White and Maddox. I got being commissioned as a DJ by Paris Hilton (UK promotional party of the “British Best Friend” show), Judy Dench and Simon Cowell (“Battersea Dogs & Cats” charity event), Kelly Osbourne (birthday party) or Joan Collins (movie press launch in Mayfair). My music style is uplifting: vocal house, progressive, electro and nu-disco. I was highly influenced by disco music, gospel, 80’s science fiction, synthwave and French Nouvelle Vague movie soundtracks but also rave music. In 2009 I joined uber famous “Salvation” DJ team and started touring with the brand in Europe. In 2010 I moved to Ibiza to play at world reknowned club Space and started a residency at El Divino’s with “Carwash” featuring Sister Sledge. This is when I launched “The wintersound of Ibiza” at Lola’s, the “Sound of Luxury music tour” and the “SoundOfLuxury.TV show”.
The Sound of Luxury TV concept is a music, travel and lifestyle program featuring my experience as a TV host and Dj entertainer at various events and luxury spots throughout the world. The show’s aesthetics revolves around fairytales, involving costumes and dancers. Since its beginning, it took viewers to over 30 locations in Europe, North and South America, the Middle east and the Caribbean Islands.
In March 2012, I was hired by Australia’s Supré retail clothing brand to create a music compilation album to be played in 165 stores across Australia. Recent DJ gigs in the US include “Sound Of Luxury” at W hotel in Silicon Valley , “My Uncle Rafael” worldwide film premiere after party and "Avenue Montaigne on Sunset" at the Standard, Hollywood .
In 2016 I left Hollywood to split my time between St Barts, the jet set Island - ideally located between Europe and the USA - and Mexico's : colorful Puerto Vallarta in Jalisco, and superchic Punta Mita on banderas bay.
My fascination for the magic of the Oceans, for Ancient Greek Mythology and for the power of animals living on our planet lead me to rebrand my Djaying with a new stage name and brand new show called ELQUARIUS® Elk + Aqua + Aquarius.

Beginning in the mid 2000s, the genre developed from various niche communities on the Internet, reaching wider popularity in the early 2010s. In its music and cover artwork, synthwave engages in retrofuturism, emulating 1980s science fiction, action, and horror media, sometimes compared to cyberpunk. It expresses nostalgia for 1980s culture, attempting to capture the era's atmosphere and celebrate it.
Musically, synthwave is heavily inspired by many 1980s films, video games, and cartoons, as well as composers such as John Carpenter, Vangelis, and Tangerine Dream. The subgenre name "outrun" comes from the 1986 driving arcade game Out Run, which was known for its soundtrack that could be selected in-game] According to musician Perturbator (James Kent), the style is mainly instrumental, and often contains 1980s cliché elements in the sound such as electronic drums, gated reverb, analog synthesizer bass lines and leads, all to resemble tracks from that time period. This aesthetic has been incorporated into retro themed movies and video games featuring synthwave artists. According to Bryan Young of Glitchslap, one of the most notable examples of this is Power Glove's soundtrack to the 2013 video game Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.
Synthwave originates from the mid 2000s. French acts including David Grellier (College), Kavinsky, and Justice are recognized as the pioneers contributing to the early synthwave sound. These early artists began creating music inspired by famous 1980s score composers; music which was, at the time, largely associated with French house.
